Founded in 2001 and incorporated in 2002, we are a 100% volunteer, non profit organization trying to make a difference in our environment right here at home, one piece at a time. We try our best to improve the Cymbria area through native tree, shrub, and flower species re-introduction, education, friendship, and through a guided interpretive nature trail (located at Cymbria Campground) open to the public free year-round. Our goal is to do the best we can to leave the land that we have in better condition than we found it. Not for money…not for BS…but because it is the right thing to do.
To be honest, learning more about the nature that surrounds us (and should surround us) has turned out to be such a personal reward that even as a volunteer I think I am getting overpaid! We are not professionals at this, and we’ve no doubt made mistakes. Many specialists over the years have been good enough to point us in the right direction, and their advice and friendship has been truly appreciated.
You can support us by joining our Foundation. Either way, we hope that we can share what we’ve been up to with you! Please feel free to drop in and say hi.
